Three weeks ago, my mom sent me a link.

Just a simple message—no pressure, no expectation.
“This is cute,” I imagine her saying in her head as she hit send.

And somehow… that was the one.

Out of all the searching, all the scrolling, all the imagining—
that was the one I ended up bringing home.

So thank you, Mom.
Truly.
This one is Mama approved—and that means everything.

April 2nd, I picked it up.

Bright yellow. Joy on wheels.
The kind of color that doesn’t ask for attention—it is attention. It smiles before you even step inside.

And then something happened.

I connected my phone, and without planning it, without thinking about it, the music started playing… and it was Al Green.

I hadn’t listened to him in a while.

But there it was—song after song, smooth and warm, like the car itself understood the moment better than I did. I drove home wrapped in that sound, in that feeling.

And somewhere along the way, it clicked.

The name.

Al.

Simple. Grounded. Soulful.

So here we are.

Al, welcome to Rolling with Marlee.

You’re not just a car.
You’re a beginning.

A space for conversations.
A container for stories.
A witness to whatever comes next.

I don’t know all the places we’ll go yet.
I don’t know all the memories we’ll make.

But I do know this:

This is about more than movement.
It’s about meaning.

To my mom—thank you for seeing something I didn’t even know I was ready for.

To this moment—thank you for finding me right on time.

And to God—thank you for the opportunity to build memories, to create, to explore, and to live fully in these moments as they come.
